We don’t often think of sports and art together, but the rare instances where they do intersect can result in some unique projects. As the Super Bowl approaches, here are some art projects surrounding Super Bowl LVI that you should keep an eye out for (when you don’t have your eyes on the game, of course).

BPNFT Art Exhibition Ad

The startup BPNFT is creating the largest exhibition of NFT (non-fungible token) art in history and is planning to unveil it during Super Bowl LVI. On February 13th, an ad will air during the commercial break that will feature 1,800 individual NFTs and the work of over 100 artists.

In addition to creating an opportunity to showcase art, the ad campaign is meant to demonstrate the power of people coming together. Purchasing air time for a Super Bowl ad is typically considered to be something that only extremely wealthy corporations can afford. However, thanks to the collaborative effort from more than 100 artists, this ad will debut in front of millions of viewers around the world.

Collectors who view this historic ad will have the opportunity to purchase the artist’s work on the BPNFT company website. They have also set aside a limited number of NFTsto offer to their whitelist members at a special price, with subsequent batches being priced based on demand. And ten percent of the proceeds from the project will be shared with beneficiary organizations that embody the spirit of the project.

Steven Echtman, the founder of BPNFT, had this to say regarding the project, “My intention is for this entire journey and process to be a work of art. The creation of art that supports the creation of art. The successful artists I know in the NFT world want to give back and support their brothers and sisters. In the Web3 world, it no longer feels like a zero-sum game, and artists from across the entire spectrum of backgrounds, disciplines, and levels of success want to support and be part of this project.
