Soergel Orchards

Located in Wexford, Soergel Orchards sits just north of the city. It turns into a bustling fall hub every October, making it a quick trip for anyone living near town. You start your visit by hopping on a tractor ride out to the fields to pick your own pumpkin. Kids can meet friendly farm animals and run through the corn maze.

The food scene here is a massive draw. You can smell fresh apple cider donuts baking as soon as you step onto the property. Grab a bag of those along with warm mulled cider and candied apples. Adults can stop by the Arsenal Cider House counter on site to sip local hard ciders while browsing. Before you leave, hit the main market. It stays stocked with fresh produce, baked treats, and specialty pantry items you will definitely want to take home.

Trax Farms

Head south to Finleyville, and you will run right into Trax Farms. This spot has been running for over 150 years, so they know how to throw a harvest party. A scenic hayride hauls you up steep hills to a massive pumpkin field with views of the valley. Once you find your pumpkin, you can test your navigation skills in a giant three-acre corn maze. Kids get a dedicated play plaza full of bounce houses and obstacle courses.

Hungry visitors can head straight for the weekend food trucks lining the property. You can grab pulled pork, hot kettle corn, and fresh funnel cakes made on the spot. After eating, walk through their huge garden center and farm store. It is packed with decorative gourds, cornstalks, handcrafted fall signs, and jars of local honey.

Triple B Farms

Over in Monongahela, Triple B Farms offers an action-packed day outdoors. Hayrides take you straight to the pumpkin patch, but the interactive play areas steal the show here. Kids can zoom down giant slides, bounce on huge inflated air pillows, and shoot hoops at the grain-bin basketball courts.

You cannot leave Triple B without ordering their famous apple fries. They slice fresh apples, lightly fry them, coat them in cinnamon sugar, and pile whipped cream on top.
