We have all seen artificial intelligence act a little strangely lately. Chatbots make up facts out of nowhere. They agree with terrible ideas just to please us.

Tech experts call these slip-ups “hallucinations.” But Mars and SNICKERS have a different diagnosis. They think the bots are just hungry.

SNICKERS just launched a new campaign called Hungr.AI. It brings their famous “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” slogan straight into the world of tech.

The company made the world’s first digital candy bar built specifically for artificial intelligence. If your AI assistant starts acting out of sorts, you can grab a digital bite to feed it.

Ashley Gill works as the brand and content vice president for Mars Snacking. She pointed out that SNICKERS has always fixed out-of-character moments.

“Whether it’s a person losing their cool or an AI chatbot consistently agreeing with you, the truth hasn’t changed,” Gill said. “When you’re not acting like yourself, we believe you maybe just need a SNICKERS.”

So, how does this actually work?

First, you spot a hungry moment. If your AI chatbot starts making weird errors or acting way too agreeable, you know something is wrong.

Next, you head over to a special website to grab a digital SNICKERS Hungr.AI bar there and feed a byte to your digital assistant.

After that, you can take things a step further. If you engage with SNICKERS Hungr.AI on Reddit or Snapchat, you get a reward. SNICKERS will send a real, physical candy bar straight to your house using DoorDash.

There are a few catches, though. The free candy bars are only for U.S. residents who are 18 or older. Supplies are limited, and the promotion runs from August 31, 2026 until September 20, 2026, or until they run out of free candy bars.

It is a clever marketing trick that blends old-school advertising with modern tech culture.

AI is everywhere right now, and almost everyone has dealt with a glitchy chatbot. By poking fun at AI mistakes, SNICKERS finds a funny way to stay relevant.

Next time your chatbot hallucinates a completely fake fact, you might not need to stress about it. Just log online, feed the AI a digital byte, and grab yourself a free snack.
